Mama Freaky Shoppin At Whole Foods

Yep, I’m a mom and I shop Whole Foods Market. I love Whole Foods more than a Mac addict loves their Iphone. Anyway, in a nut shell…. here’s what happened.
When I stepped into Whole Foods this morning… Rick James’ Super Freak was playing (which I immediately tweeted on my ML Twitter page).* I don’t know what happened…maybe it was the other lady shaking her hips while shaking her produce bag, maybe it was the produce guy nodding his head but all of a sudden I felt the urge to buy some freaky produce.
The next thing I knew I was looking into my shopping cart thinking… man, my kids are gonna love this stuff. And boom. It came to me in a golden light with harps and trumpets playing…New Mama blog video series (see below) called… I’m a mom and I bought some food today at Whole Foods. Should be pretty awesome because everyone wants to know what mom bought at the grocery store. Yes, I was being facetious. But only towards anyone who does NOT like the video.
Oh yeh, I haven’t received anything from Whole Foods for this post but they need to update their blog anyway.

Silly Boy helped cook a fabulous Organic Italian dinner this evening. Seriously, what kid doesn’t love Macaroni and Cheese? Especially Annie’s Organic Mac and Cheese that we buy at Whole Foods? Mmm mmm Good.
Turkey Killed On Thanksgiving – Everyone Else Safe

I managed to cook a beautiful juicy turkey without salmonella poisoning anyone. I used the verticle roasting method which I fondly call “Up The Butt Chicken.” I have several verticle roasters I use for cornish hens but they are too small for a turkey. So, I used a bundt pan for the big bird. This is an excellent way to roast because it makes the meat very juicy.
After we stuffed ourselves with food we took our children to see the annual Uptown Holiday Lighting to see the fireworks. It was cold, crowded and the kids wanted us to carry them the whole time as they were tired. Fortunately, my daughter fell asleep in the car on the way home so we only had to read books to my son.
Since my husband went out with his friends, I took it upon myself to write about a salmonella free turkey day and to clarify that I will NOT be shopping Black Friday. I would also like to clarify that I didn’t kill or cook any live turkeys.
